Fighting Chance is seeking a dynamic, energetic and empathetic individual to join their small team, to provide personal care and practical support to interns who have a physical disability, as they set up and run their own e-business.

You will be required to assist with the day to day self care requirement for adults with varying levels of physical disability, and as well as work besides the team as they run their business projects.

carecareers is a dedicated jobsite for the community care and disability sector in NSW and lists in the Top 10 visited in Australia. carecareers is designed to grow the pool of labour available to not-for-profit, government and NGO providers of disability and community care services in NSW. It develops, implements and tests a number of targeted attraction strategies and uses these to help build a talent pool for service providers to tap into.

The Talent Officer will work with the Careers Centre team on the carecareers job board and recruitment services.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Ensure all client/candidate enquiries are responded to within 24 business hours in a professional and appropriate manner
  • Ensure consistency in communication and a strict adherence to the style guide
  • Ensure workload and productivity is not below minimum standards
  • Ensure service levels are achieved and issues reported and escalated as appropriate
  • Complete candidate/client care communications and reports as directed and in a timely fashion
  • Provide monthly updates on stock to ensure smooth delivery of events

Key attributes

  • Experience in recruitment service delivery from either a resourcing or 360 degree role
  • Experience in account management
  • Proven ability to advise clients on recruitment best practice advice
  • Proven ability to advise clients on the best method to deliver specific recruitment needs
  • HRMS (HR Management System) and intermediate MS Office experience
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with excellent written English language skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Proven client building skills
  • Experience in Healthcare sector/recruitment will be highly regarded
  • Understanding of working within the public sector is desirable
  • Technical competency - NGA
  • As travel may be required, independent travel capability is essential 

Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in a related discipline is desirable but not essential

Headway Adult Development need a Community Access Worker in Bankstown

Headway Adult Development Program is a community access program for adults with an acquired brain injury. They are looking for a motivated, innovative, easy going and enthusiastic person to join their team as a Community Access Worker. The successful applicant will support individuals (and their families or carers) to fulfill their potential for community participation and independence through individual access plans and skill development courses. 

This role is available on a 6 month contract, at 35 hours per week.
Salary for this position is according to the relevant SACS Award, including generous salary packaging.

Essential criteria

  • Relevant qualifications in health,welfare or related field
  • Experience working with people with a disability
  • Experience with individual planning processes
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Current NSW Class C driver’s licence

Desirable criteria

  • Experience working with people with an acquired brain injury
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Knowledge of the DSA and Disability Service Standards

Lifestart need a Social Worker in Sydney

Lifestart are currently seeking a Social Worker to provide a range of support services, including case management and referral, in the Sydney metropolitan area.

This is a permanent Part Time position (3 days per week) which will commence in April. Salary packaging is available at Lifestart.

  • Experience in working with children with a range of support needs
  • Experience working in a family centred model
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team

  • Degree in Social Work
  • Eligible for membership of AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers)
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of community support services
  • Knowledge and experience in running a range of group programs
  • Knowledge of positive behaviour support principles
  • Experience in a similar position would be an advantage
