This position is Full Time and the succesful candidate will be responsible for coordinating service access for frail older people, people with dementia, people with disabilities and their carers to appropriate support, respite and domestic assistance to enable people to remain living in their own homes in the community for as long as possible.

A tertiary qualification in the human services field and or a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role is essential for this position.

The BCS AgeCare Division, which provides care for thousands of older people on a daily basis, is seeking a Full Time Community Coordinator at our BCS Care Centre – Nepean located in Penrith CBD. This position involves working with the Community Manager to establish, coordinate, administer and develop a range of programs for the frail aged and younger people with disabilities delivered in the client’s home, as well as the supervision of staff.

Essential criteria

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in a disability or an aged care related program
  • Experience or ability in leadership, relationship management, quality management and teamwork
  • A current driver’s licence
  • Knowledge of funding body standards and obligations

Desirable criteria

  • Post graduate studies in Aged Care or a Human Services related field

Police Background Checks will be conducted on applicants recommended for employment to positions within this organisation.
